Mini Baklavas Recipe

A delightful twist on the traditional Baklava. Bite size mini baklavas are a quick and easy way to welcome guests.

Ingredients
For Syrup
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon orange peel
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 whole cloves
For Nut mixture
- 2 ½ cups chopped walnuts or almonds or pastichio nuts
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon all spice
- Shop bought mini filo shells
Directions
- Mix all these ingredients
- Strain the syrup
- Add one cup of the syrup and mix together (make sure the mixture isn’t too dry)
- Take your mini filo shells and add a spoon in each shell
- Bake it at 350 degrees for 15 minutes just to make sure the shell is crispy
