ABC Islands

Welcome to the Brahma Kumaris in the ABC Islands

Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao (the ABC Islands) are small, sunny Islands in the Caribbean, near the north coast of Venezuela, South America, each with a population of less than 150,000. The Islands are related to each other by their connection to the Netherlands, as parts of the former Netherlands Antilles.

Although the islands are autonomous, a deeper and more profound connection unifies us as a single co-operative unit, making it possible to work together to achieve the common divine aim of the Brahma Kumaris. Our aim is to encourage and inspire positive change in the world through our own personal transformation, which is made possible by the daily expression of our core universal virtues of love, peace and wisdom. Understanding and exploring our true identity is a key tool on the path of personal transformation as it enables us to develop ourselves and to grow in self-awareness, compassion and general well-being. In the silence of meditation we reconnect with our true identity and engage our intrinsic qualities of peace, harmony, love, power and joy… energies which naturally flow from within us into the hearts of others out in the world.

curacao2The Brahma Kumaris have been offering their services to the people of Curaçao since 1993, on a small scale through radio talks and lectures for families and small Hatha Yoga groups. In 1999, a Brahma Kumaris Center in Curaçao was officially opened. Since then many souls in Curaçao have taken benefit from the wisdom of the Brahma Kumaris, offered through courses, lectures, workshops and classes. All courses, classes are offered to the community,  regardless of anyone’s background.

bonaire2In 2000, outreach began in Bonaire, eventually leading to the official establishment of the center in Bonaire in 2003. The center in Bonaire is an affiliate center of the Curaçao center.

Outreach also began in Aruba with support from Curaçao in 2000. 2002 saw the setting up of an affiliate center of Curaçao in Aruba which offered our courses and classes. The center in Aruba became an official center in its own right in 2009, but continues to work hand in hand with centers in Bonaire and Curaçao.

Regular courses, talks and classes are offered at our three centers. Whenever you plan to visit one of these Islands you are most welcome to contact us and pay a visit to your nearest Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Center.
