This recipe is for those who have a very, very sweet tooth. Fresh bread slightly fried, dipped into hot syrup and sprinkled with pistachios. Isn’t it your dream?

Ingredients
- Bread cut into slices
- Oil for frying
- Pistachio nuts
For the syrup
- 1 glass water
- 1 glass sugar
- Cardamom
Directions
- Pour a glass of water into a thick bottom saucepan
- Add a glass of sugar
- Add the cardamom
- Put on a high heat for 3-4 minutes until it becomes thick
- If there are sediments in the syrup add a little milk
- When all the sediments rise to the top, take out with a skimmer
- Pour some oil into a deep fryer/karhai, to deep fry the bread
- When the oil is hot, add the slices of bread
- Fry until golden brown
- Put them into the hot syrup
- Turn over occasionally
- Take them out and put on a plate
- Decorate with pistachio nuts
